What We Have to Offer SEND Nurses 

This position is ideal for an RN seeking stable, part-time hours that can easily fit around other commitments, while still offering an exceptional rate of pay. 

  • Pay Rate: £35.30 per hour 

  • Start Date: ASAP 

  • Contract Duration: Until December 2026 (with a strong possibility of extension) 

  • Shift Pattern: 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday 

    • Monday: Morning shift 

    • Tuesday to Friday: Afternoon shifts 

Essential Requirements  

The successful candidate must have an active NMC registration and a proven track record in community nursing or complex care environments. Because this role involves supporting a young client with intricate healthcare needs, we require specific clinical competencies: 

  • Hickman Line Management: Routine care, patency checks, and strict infection control. 

  • Enteral Feeding: Practical experience with Mic-Key buttons. 

  • Medication Administration: Safe delivery of medication via feeding tubes. 

  • Adrenal Insufficiency Knowledge: Deep understanding of emergency response protocols and cortisol replacement management. 

  • Personal Care: Full comfort and competence in providing personal and intimate care with dignity and respect. 

  • Infection Prevention: Demonstrable commitment to robust Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices. 

Note: Prior experience supporting children or young adults with complex healthcare needs is highly desirable for this role.
