Care costs
FAQs

1. What’s the first step in booking homecare and what does it cost?

First, for an initial, free discussion of your needs, please call us If you are paying for care or nursing privately (i.e. not referred by a PCT or local authority), then we’ll arrange a meeting to determine the care required and assess the cost. The Assessment, normally by a qualified nurse, is charged at £140.00. There is no obligation to proceed after this. (An assessment is required by law before any care provision can be made).

2. What’s the cost of the BNA homecare programme?

The cost of the care will depend upon such factors as the frequency and duration of the care required (i.e. how often, and for how many hours each day). Also, the qualifications of the medical staff who will provide care – because the rates for qualified nurses are higher than for care staff, for example. We will confirm and agree with you the cost of the programme in advance, before any charges are incurred.

3. Can I change or cancel the programme – are there any other costs?

Yes, you can cancel the programme when you give us at least 24hours notice, so that we can cancel the visit by the nurse or carer. To identify if care needs have changed, we ask all parties involved, including our care and nursing staff, to complete regular feedback forms. Reviews are normally carried out anyway every 4 months. Assessment reviews are charged at £50.00 per visit.
